New Twenty Community Schools Project Supported by ESRA/ RTI – USAID

Rural Women Welfare Organization has always strived for the educational development of the girls & women through its set goal of women empoerwerment. Infact we can't create a better environment for the girls and women until and unless they are equipped with skills, knowledge and latest information. The education is the base of all forms of development either socio-economic or moral. The fact reveals that as compared to illiterate women all those educated women can lead their life with their choice as they get employment resulting socio-economic liberty.

In our society Women are known as last recipient of fruit of development. Therefore organization strategically focuses over all developmental interventions which directly provide benefit to girls & women. The global movement for women's empowerment has emphasized about educational development as it is the most significant instrument for social and economic development of women.

Organization with the support of Educational Sector Reform Assistance through USAID launched a project namely "RWWO Strong Base Literacy Program for Women and Girls of Rural at District Sanghar" For the girls and women of the working radius 20 home schools are established in the deprived and disadvantaged areas, especially 3 out of 20 home schools are established in the white Desert locally called ACHARO THAR.

The schools established in white Desert are ever first women's schools since centuries in their area where even there are no schools for boys. The schools have provided opportunity to the girls and women of laborer, peasant, minorities, and sweeper community. Through these home schools to day more than 600 students are getting education along with Health Education; TB. Hepatitis B, C HIV/AIDS care and prevention etc.

In addition Honor killing, Family Planning, Environmental Education, Income Savings, Live Stock Management, ORS Making are the part of school curricula. A change has been began to be taken place the educational level of the target group has been on the way of enhancement. Organization firmly believes that each and every individual has potential only need is to explore it through this approach even the women up to 50 years are being admitted to maximize the benefit of the project and get better results for a better tomorrow then today.
