In the
year 1990 Rural Women Welfare Organization (RWWO) commenced her journey
toward development for marginalized women of her working radius.
Since very
outset RWWO has been striving for uplift of women in all walks of
life by congregating the members of civil society to bring about women
development friendly environment at grassroots level.
In the
way of accomplishing the set out strategic objectives, many barriers
emerged. It is due to the indomitable spirit of activists through
which we overcame the obstacles and designed various developmental
projects through the need assessment of community. The rapid socio-economic
changes brought close relationship of RWWO and communities to each
other. Time has proven the role of RWWO as catalyst force through
which communities problems identified and provided with solutions
by integrated approach.
RWWO has
formed 15 CBOs and 20 VOs. It is one of the great achievements of
the organization towards self sufficiency of the stake holders and
specially women folk living at grassroots level.
RWWO works
in deprived and disadvantaged area with core focus of women empowerment
which are the most neglected segment of population. She has given
priority to the women development to largely facilitate women in all
walks of life as women of our society is the last recipient of fruit
of development. In the period more than a decade, from time to time
number of "Women Empowerment Projects" were successfully
implemented e.g. Income Generation, Health and Hygiene awareness,
Family Planning, Human Rights, Political Awareness, Sustainable agriculture
development, Environmental education, Educational development, Water
supply scheme for the women of desert and many other projects.
