A Sad Story of Fatima

Fatima and her Daughter

Fatima is a member of RWWO's CBO established in village Yousif Ji Miyan. Her father married two wives but unfortunately her father did not love her and her mother. The step mother and her children were dominant and Fatima group was just like slaves in the home and victimized through domestic violence. When she was 15 years old, she was sold out for Rs. 3000 only by her father to a notorious person. This new life was more terrible than before. Dishonoring and being beaten by her husband was a daily routine. She suffered a lot because she was powerless and could not face the cruelty of her husband. After some years she became the mother of a daughter and when her daughter was only 5 years old, her notorious and cruel husband tried to sell her daughter. Fatima cried a lot but there was no body who could help her. However RWWO gave shelter to Fatima and her daughter and facilitated her for normal and good life by giving loan for rearing goats and now she is happy and thankful to RWWO.
