Story of Ammi’s Struggle

When Aami was married she was 26 years old and her husband was a boy of only 11 years. She faced a very strange atmosphere because of her husband and poverty around her. However she observed each and every aspect and determined to build a new life. They started their life by rearing some live stock and joined agriculture being a peasant family to a landlord beside their home. It was her father In law and her boy husband in their home and in this situation total duties and responsibility laid on her shoulders. All the work at home and total agri. labor were performed by Aami. For the years she continued the hard work and in the result she reached to a remarkable stage and status of life.
After some years she became mother of one son and three daughters. After very hard and endless struggle she earned good amount of money and purchased 3 buffaloes and arranged the marriage of her son and daughters.
Eight years ago Aami joined RWWO. She is very hard worker and clever women, so she became group leader of CBO established in her village. She is very responsible women thus she holds all the activities done during the meetings, visits and seminars.
Aami is now 70 years old, but she is still young and smart for every progressive activity in the field. She is an ideal worker.
