Rehabilitation and Relief Work

In June 2003 heavy rains flooded district Thatta and Badin. Disaster took more than 3000 lives, affected 183000 residents in districts with loss of billion rupees. Continuous shower of 48 hours compelled the dwellers to evacuate their fields, homes and huts in search of shelter.
It is the Rural Women Welfare Organization who was among the first five NGOs who entered in the inaccessible affected areas, provided rescue and relief to the victims of the catastrophe.
