We work
in such district where poverty, illiteracy and ignorance are dominant.
There are a lot of diseases in epidemic shape over here e.g. T.B,
Hepatitis B&C, Malaria etc but gynecological problems are also
found here at large scale. Poverty and shame full behavior promote
the gynecological disease on a larger scale. RWWO conducted survey
about this lethal disease and arranged gynecological treatment camps
in which more than 300 poor rural women were cured at free of cost
with the kind collaboration of Dr. Aftab Munir and her team. Three
camps are arranged up to this time in which 24 major and 36 minor
surgical operations and 2 festola operations have been conducted.
Remaining women were treated by medicines. This year in dec.03 the
fourth camp is to be arranged and up to this time 25 cases have been
registered.
RWWO has launched a health awareness program in the concerned communities
to upgrade the health status of the concerned masses and infect it
links to the "Women Empowerment of RWWO". So this was a
serious story of a lethal disease due to the shyness of poor women
who suffered a lot by not disclosing their Gynaey diseases.
